Standpipes & Hydrant Keys

Standpipes are use to tap into a pressurised water main via an underground hydrant valve. The standard base inlet is 2½” female hydrant round thread and the outlet is 2½” female instantaneous. Single or double outlet heads are supplied and these are connected to the shaft either by an integral swivel or an instantaneous ‘plug in’ connection.
Other inlet connections are available including B/Lug. Cork Type and Belfast V thread.

Contractors standpipes with bib tap outlets and anti-freezing standpipes for fixed installations are also produced.
Anti-siphon standpipes, incorporating a double check valve, should be used for all except fire brigade applications.
Hydrant keys and bars are also supplied for operating underground hydrant valves.
